On February 10, Governor Pritzker announced expanding phase 1b to those with underlying conditions. In Chicago, while we are making steady progress vaccinating people in phase 1a and phase 1b, at this time we are not being supplied enough doses to expand phase 1b to include those with underlying conditions, unless they are over the age of 65 years. Read more details in the press release and learn more about Chicago’s vaccination phases here.
Phase 1b of vaccination in Chicago includes people 65 and above, but with special attention to people > age 75 or those with underlying medical conditions. Chicago is officially moving into phase 1b starting on Monday, January 25, but vaccine supply continues to be limited.
CDPH has compiled a provider toolkit which can be used to engage patients and employees eligible for vaccine. Find here under the "toolkits" tab.
